Eyeing the fast-growing Indian gaming industry worth Rs 270 crore (Rs 2.7 billion), Zapak Digital Entertainment is all set to open 1,000 gaming cafes across the country by December this year. The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group company, which presently runs 51 gaming cafes under the brand name Gameplex, will henceforth expand through franchisee model.
Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited, a Reliance ADA Group venture, formally launched India's first full-feature online multiplayer cricket game in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders have signed on Zapak Digital Entertainment, a Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) venture, to develop online games for them.
